Jubilee Service Day at

Clyde hill Elementary school

Jubilee Service Day is an annual event in August which brings together people in the east side community to serve at local public schools and homes. Started in 2005 with one church serving at one school, this day has grown to involve over 3,000 volunteers, 22 schools and at least 25 homes in 2019.

In the Fall of 2019 Clyde Hill re-opened, having been rebuilt from the ground up.  FUMCB led the 2-day volunteer effort at Clyde Hill to insure it was ready for students on September 4th.  Work parties were open to anyone willing to help with this rather massive effort.

Congregations 4 Kids

Good start back to school

School Supply Drive

Congregations for Kids, a coalition of local congregations with whom we partner, helps students from low income families within the Bellevue, Washington School District have a Good Start Back to School. Partnering with the school district, east side businesses, and community organizations, we equip these students with backpacks and supplies needed for the school year.

Snacks for Stevenson Elementary School

Hungry kids don’t do well at school, so we provide snacks for the Family Connections Center at Bellevue’s Stevenson Elementary School, where 44% of kids are on free and reduced lunch. The snacks are distributed to classrooms and used in after school programming. Donation bins and lists of suggested foods are in the north coat closet.
